5 years ago I picked up a book about eating raw to cure diseases. I read it cover to cover and then said to myself “That’s what I’m going to do if I ever get cancer”. Now here I am 5 years later taking this journey that I never would have thought possible.
To most people this is a strange world I’m entering. It’s not a lifestyle change that most people would even consider. However I can’t blame them for it because that was me a mere 5 years ago. It seemed so unnecessary and difficult. Why would I put myself though that?
Well here I am. I’m 24. I’m married to a wonderful fast-food junky of a husband. I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba which is one of the coldest cities in the world. Before venturing on this journey I ate the Standard American Diet. However I have been slowly venturing into the raw food world since summer 2010. However in February 2011 I got my big push when I discovered I was highly allergic to both dairy and eggs. This cemented my decision to adopt a raw lifestyle. I’m brand new at this and I would like to invite you to follow along with me.
